About the Publisher: Geechee Press

Geechee Press is a division of Geechee Enterprises and is a Black owned company. It was founded in Pittsburg, California during 2013 by Dr. J. Vern Cromartie. The mission of Geechee Press is to publish works related to the social sciences and humanities with a focus on the Black experience in the USA and throughout the Diaspora. Geechee Press has a special interest in publishing works that involve the history and culture of Gullah Geechee people. It also has a special interest in publishing works that involve Black social movements, including the Black Panther Party, SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference), Black Power Movement, Black Arts Movement, Niagara Movement, Civil Rights Movement, Pan-African Movement, etc.
